The best breakfast places in Milan
Milan is a very hectic city: between a meeting and a cocktail party there is not much time left for a break. Breakfast is however a sacred ritual to start your day in the best of ways. What are the best and nicest places for it? Those that offer not just cappuccinos and croissants, but also feature and special and design interiors and, why not, the opportunity to shop. We selected for you the coolest cafes for a breakfast in Milan. Now, you just have to try them!
Vanilla Bakery (via San Siro,2). Once in, you’ll feel in a different dimension: a sort of fairytale, where all is pink and you are surrounded by pastries and cakes of every size. Perfect for dreamers. Try the croissant filled with pistachio cream.
Mint Garden Cafè (via Casati, 12). Romanticism flavored coffee? It’s surely on their menu: decorated with all types of fresh flowers -they are for sale too- this cafe also has a florist corner and feature wrought iron furniture, just like a little indoor garden.
Pause (via Federico Ozanam, 7). This cafe boasts the charm of a Berlin pub, intentionally rough and with a young and extremely nice staff. You can choose to enjoy your coffee sitting on a vintage armchair or at the counter overlooking the outside of the cafe. If you still have a little time, you cannot miss the space dedicated to accurately selected vintage clothing that are for sale!
Marchesi (via Montenapoleone, 9). Wes Anderson and Prada’s Bar Luce’s aesthetic enthusiasts should be happy here: the pastel colors vintage allure vintage that won the heart of thousands of fashionistas, from this summer, is finally in Milan’s Fashion District, thanks to the historic name Marchesi, that partnering with Prada, opened a bakery that has already become a cult on Instagram.
Pavè Milano (Via Felice Casati, 27). The perfect spot for hipsters, with decors between vintage and minimal, is one of our favorite cafes for breakfast. What to order? We suggest trying the XXL cappuccino with fresh out the oven plumcakes. And if in the mornings you are particularly friendly, you can seat at the large wooden table that can welcome up to 14 guests, some sort of “social table” that favors new friendships. You never know who you could meet in the morning

La colazione però è un rito sacro, per iniziare la giornata nel migliore dei modi. Quali sono i posti più buoni e più carini? Quelli che offrono non solo ottimi cappuccini o brioches, ma anche interni particolari e di design e magari la possibilità di fare shopping. Vanilla Bakery (via San Siro,2). Una volta entrati vi sembrerà di essere in un’altra dimensione: in una sorta di fiaba, dove tutto è colorato di rosa e dolci e torte di tutte le dimensioni vi circondano. Ideale per le sognatrici. Da provare: il cornetto con crema di pistacchio!
Mint Garden Cafè (via Casati, 12) – Un caffè al gusto di romanticismo? Qui è sicuramente nel menù: decorato da ogni sorta di fiori freschi (che sono anche in vendita: questo bar infatti ha anche un corner con un fioraio) è anche arredato con mobili in ferro battuto proprio come un piccolo giardino al chiuso.
Pause (via Federico Ozanam, 7) – Questo bar ha il fascino di un locale di Berlino, volutamente grezzo e con un personale giovane e super cordiale. Potete scegliere di gustarvi il vostro caffè seduti su di una poltrona vintage oppure al bancone che dà direttamente all’esterno del bar. Per finire, se avete ancora un po’ di tempo, non potete non farvi un giro nello spazio adibito alla vendita di vestiti vintage accuratamente selezionati!
Marchesi (via Montenapoleone, 9). I fan dell’estetica di Wes Anderson e del bar Luce di Prada sono stati accontentati: l’allure vintage dai colori pastello che ha conquistato migliaia di fashionisti questa estate approda anche nel centro del quadrilatero della moda grazie a un nome storico, Marchesi, che in partnership con Prada ha aperto una pasticceria che è già diventato un cult su Instagram.
Pavè Milano (Via Felice Casati, 27) – Il posto perfetto per gli hipster, con arredi tra il vintage e il minimal, è uno dei nostri bar del cuore per la colazione. Cosa ordinare? Vi consigliamo il cappuccino XXL con i plumcake appena sfornati dalla cucina. E se la mattina siete socievoli, di sedervi al tavolone di legno che ospita fino a 14 persone, una sorta di “social table” che favorisce nuove amicizie.
