Welcome to the Year of the Monkey! Chinese New Year is being celebrated all around the world (In China is commonly named Spring Festival) and the TBS Crew is ready to celebrate with a nice dinner all together. Where? In one of our Milan’s favorite Chinese restaurants approved by our new team member Menghan ;-). Do you feel like eating a dim sum and noodles too? Here our insiders’ list!





Wang Jiao (Via Padova, 3). Just a few steps from Loreto subway station (there are 2 more around the city) this is, according to the true enthusiasts, one of the best restaurants in town. The must-try dishes are the fresh tagliatelle and the lacquered duck!
Dim Sum (Via Nino Bixio, 29). The first thing that will catch your eye is the environment, luxurious and quite not traditional! The real China is found in the bamboo baskets filled with impeccably presented traditional delicatessen.
Ta Hua (Via Fara, 15). This very central restaurant is defined the temple of authentic Chinese cuisine. Their highlight dish? Besides the traditional dumplings, it’s definitely the bakery.
Mandarin 2 (Via Garofalo, 22). Not the usual Chinese restaurant, but a fusion reinterpretation that combines the classics of Asian and Italian. Just a suggestion: always make a reservation!
Mao Hunan (Via Nicola Antonio Porpora, 5). Do you love the strong flavors of Chinese cuisine? This is the restaurant for you. With all the traditional dishes and the chef’s originality, you’ll really feel like being in Beijing. And if we still haven’t convinced you, just know that the clientele of this restaurant is mostly Chinese!
Lon Fon (Via Lazzaretto, 10). Excellent, absolutely excellent. Above the average of other Chinese restaurants as far as quality and courtesy of the staff. Even though the space is relatively small, it’s the food that makes the difference. Crabmeat au gratin and the famous ginger ice-cream are a must try!

Benvenuti nell’anno della scimmia! In questi giorni in tutto il mondo si sta festeggiando il capodanno cinese (in Cina comunemente chiamato “festa di primavera”) e anche noi della TBS Crew siamo pronti a celebrare con una bella cena tutti insieme. Dove? Ma in uno dei nostri ristoranti cinesi preferiti a Milano, approvati dalla nostra nuova collega cinese Menghan Avete voglia anche voi di dim sum e noodles? Ecco la nostra lista da insider!

Wang Jiao (Via Padova, 3). A due passi dalla stazione della metropolitana di Loreto (ma ce ne sono altri due in città), secondo i più appassionati è uno dei migliori ristoranti di Milano. I piatti da provare assolutamente: le tagliatelle fresche e l’anatra laccata!
Dim Sum (Via Nino Bixio, 29). La prima cosa che vi colpirà è l’ambiente, decisamente lussuoso e molto poco tradizionale! La vera Cina però si trova nei cestini in bamboo, riempiti di specialità tradizionali e curatissimi nella presentazione.
Ta Hua (Via Fara, 15). Super centrale, è definitio il tempio della vera cucina cinese. Il loro piatto forte? Oltre agli immancabili ravioli, anche la pasticceria.
Mandarin 2 (Via Garofalo, 22). Non il solito ristorante cinese ma una rielaborazione in chiave fusion dei classici della cucina orientale e di quella italiana. Un consiglio però: prenotate sempre!
Mao Hunan (Via Nicola Antonio Porpora, 5). Siete amanti dei sapori forti e decisi della cucina cinese? Ecco il ristorante che fa per voi. Vi sembrerà davvero di essere a Pechino, grazie ai piatti tradizionali e l’originalità dello chef. E se ancora non vi abbiamo convinto, sappiate che questo è un ristorante frequentato soprattutto da cinesi!
Lon Fon (Via Lazzaretto, 10). Ottimo, davvero ottimo. Sopra la media rispetto ai ristoranti cinesi sia per qualità che per cordialità dello staff. Anche se l’ambiente è relativamente piccolo, sono i piatti che faranno la differenza. Da provare la polpa di granchio gratinata e il famoso gelato allo zenzero!

Hair Accessories. What is better than an accessory to give a regal tone to your hairstyle? Dust off headbands and tiaras, we can get back to being queens for a day (or a night). The winning choice is in a natural detail; flora and fauna will be next season’s safe bet.

1 Evening top + turtleneck.You know that ultra feminine top you have in your closet that never know when to wear??And what about your favorite turtleneck sweater?! Well, wear them together and you’ll be positively surprised by the result!
2 A coat as a dress.
From blazer jackets to trench coats, try to wear them with just a slip dress underneath one of those days when you feel particularly daring. Your boyfriend will be very happy. And not just him…
3 Layering.
You can’t stand the cold but you don’t want to put your amazing outfit aside? No problem. Have you ever thought of layering a turtleneck with a polo shirt and a pair of pants with a dress? Well, think about it.

Avete presente quanto è cool Kate Moss? Sì, anche a Glastonbury con il fango alle ginocchia. A noi è venuta subito in mente con i suoi abitini ultra chic e gli stivali per la pioggia. Un’idea per chi se la sente di giocare con i contrasti entremi.
9 Maglione dentro i pantaloni ampi.
Sembra un piccolo gesto ma vi cambierà completamente l’outfit. Ricordate: proporzioni!
10 Cappotto + chiodo o altro capospalla a contrasto.
Pelle sempre e ovunque. Non volete rinunciare al vostro chiodo ma volete essere un po’ più eleganti? No problem: metteteci sopra un cappotto elegante. Provare per credere.

LOVE Trend report from LFW: colors for Fall Winter 2016-2017

London Fashion Week has just ended and we’ve seen a peculiar Victorian influence in almost all the collections, featuring at times slightly gothic suggestions in which dark and strong colors are king. Handbags, jewel coats, embroidered tops and pointy shoes that immediately recall William Shakespeare’s cousins heading to the opening at the Globe Theatre. But mostly strong and deep shades that are perfect to face the cold season. Here are the 5 colors we’ll be wearing next Fall Winter 2016-2017.
Black.
There isn’t much to say, black is always a great answer to any question. Lace, lacework, tulle, velvet, sequins… on the runways we’ve seen it declined in any possible way.  A game of transparencies at Preen by Thorton Bregazzi, worn almost like a tattoo on the inlaid dress by Temperly London. Would you like to opt for a classic? Choose the perfecto jacket, that this season is offered in an unusual version: in wool with fur sleeves for Gareth Pugh; sleeveless and covered in precious brooches for Alexander McQueen.
Dusty Pink.
Forget the baby-related images evoked by this shade. This muted color can be extremely sexy  and even super chic. Try to match with with black; the contrast will be contemporary as for the fur details in the shoes by Shrimps or in the combination of lace + leather of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.
Green.
Mainly wood green but also grass and blue-green, many are the shades that  graced the accessories, but the tones remain dark. A particularly impactful technique recalls the structure under the dresses: as seen in Burberry Prorsum, Mulberry and Pringle of Scotland, where the white thread outlines the silhouette of dresses and coats.
Purple.To be possibly chosen in a very dark nuance, slightly austere. An idea? Start with a jacket, aubergine is the new black, as far color combinations.  Have you ever thought of matching it with yellow? If you don’t feel to dare that much, invest in a dress where purple fuses with prints, like the floating dress by Central Saint Martins, clearly recalling a work by Klimt.
Red.
A bold color that doesn’t go unnoticed, in all its shades. Marques Almeida dares with a tone-on-tone, while Mother Of Pearl presents a triumph of dancing flowers and Sophia Webster enchants us with her velvet Mary Janes with heels completely covered by small precious stones.

La Fashion Week di Londra è appena terminata e in quasi tutte le collezioni abbiamo notato una singolare influenza dell’epoca vittoriana, con suggestioni a volte quasi gotiche, dove i colori forti e scuri predominano. Borse a mano, cappotti gioiello, top ricamati e quelle scarpe a punta che ci fanno subito pensare alla cugina di William Shakespeare che va una prima al Globe Theatre. Ma soprattutto tinte forti e profonde, perfette per affrontare la stagione fredda. Ecco i 5 colori che indosseremo il prossimo Autunno Inverno 2016-2017.
Nero.
C’è ben poco da dire: è sempre un’ottima risposta a qualsiasi domanda. Pizzi, trine, tulle, velluti, paillettes… in passerella l’abbiamo visto declinato in ogni modo. Si gioca con le trasparenze da Preen by Thorton Bregazzi, si indossa quasi un tatuaggio con l’abito intarsiato di Temperly London. Volete puntare su un classico? Scegliete il chiodo, che questa stagione è insolito: in lana, con maniche in pelliccia per Gareth Pugh; smanicato e tempestato di spille preziose per Alexander McQueen.
Rosa Antico.
Scordatevi l’immaginario baby che questa tonalità evoca immediatamente: questo colore anche se tenue può essere davvero sexy e anche super chic. Provate ad abbinarlo con il nero: il contrasto è contemporaneo, come nei dettagli di pelliccia nelle scarpe di Shrimps o nell’abbinamento pizzo + pelle da Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.
Verde. 
Principalmente il verde bosco ma anche erba e petrolio: sono tante le sfumature che hanno contagiato capi e accessori, ma le tonalità sono sempre e comunque scure. Una lavorazione particolarmente d’effetto? Quella che ricorda l’imbastitura degli abiti: come da Burberry Prorsum, Mulberry e Pringle of Scotland, in cui il filo bianco disegna la silhouette di abiti e cappotti.
Viola. 
Da scegliere preferibilmente in una nuance molto scura, quasi austera. Un’idea? Iniziate dal capospalla, il color melanzana è il nuovo nero in quanto a possibilità di abbinamento con altre tinte. Avreste mai pensato di accostarlo al giallo? Se invece non ve la sentite di osare tanto, investite in un abito, in cui magari il viola si fonde con la stampa come nell’abito fluttuante di Central Saint Martins, che ci ricorda decisamente un’opera di Klimt.
Rosso.
Un colore deciso che non passa per niente inosservato, in tutte le sue sfumature. Marques Almeida osa con un ton sur ton, Mother Of Pearl invece ci regala un tripudio di fiori danzanti mentre Sophia Webster ci incanta con le sue Mary Jane in velluto con un tacco ricoperto interamente da piccole pietre preziose.

Poi aprite gli occhi e… Vi ritrovate davanti Joker! Per evitare l’effetto clown da rossetto sbavato (su entrambi) che rovinerebbe anche la serata più romantica, dovete averne assolutamente uno a prova di bacio! La formula vincente è il rossetto liquido opaco, che non si trasferisce dalle vostre labbra a quelle di chi bacerete ed è garantito a lunga durata.

Perché l’applicazione sia perfetta, vi consigliamo anche un piccolo scrub per le labbra e una maschera o un lip balm molto nutriente, che utilizzati la sera prima permetteranno al liquid lipstick di durare ancora più a lungo. Se invece vi serve un consiglio per far durare più a lungo il vostro rossetto del cuore e che non fa parte della categoria a prova di bacio, vi servirà quello che in gergo è definito “lipstick sealer“, cioè l’equivalente della lacca per le labbra. Con questo prodotto potrete trasformare ogni rossetto e renderlo kissproof! Non sarà efficace come le altre formule (baci avvisati mezzi salvati!) però vi permette di usare il vostro prodotto preferito, per sentirvi davvero speciali.

Milan’s historical library, it’s full of books and offers both Italian and original versions. You can find basically everything: there are 5 floors, each dedicated to a specific topic; the last one is the one we love the most, and the fashion section is really remarkable.

A fashion addicted place-to-be, this incredible archive collects magazines, books, notebooks, lookbooks, both digital and physical from 1868 till now, a 50,000 books fortune. It’s a private archive so you have to be a member to check their material.
