3 unconventional hairstyles for long hair to try this summer

 

 

 

 

 

 

The sun just touched the morning and our needs to try something new raises with it. For those with long hair, experiencing with new looks is pretty easy and there are plenty of hairdos that can completely change your style.. At least for a day! We chose 3 unconventional hairstyles from Spring Summer 2015 catwalks and wrote a short guideline for you (we also added a few video tutorials: watch them right after the gallery!). Prepare your hairpins and bands!

Romantic Braids. Inspired by the Giorgio Armani show where models were styled with a series of braids.
How to. Part a rectangle of your hair from the forehead to the nape, split into three vertically and plait each section close to the head starting at the front and moving down the nape. Pull the rest of the hair back and secure all together in a low bun and pin it to place.

Mohawk Buns. Fun and super cool, Marc by Marc Jacobs styled it on his runway while Rita Ora showed it on the Red Carpet.
How to. Part your hair in 3 places down the center part, make a tail for section and twist each into classic pin curls, leaving out the ends for added edges.

Hip-Hop Braids. It was the look DKNY used for its SS15 show, inspired by the 90s.
How to. Perfectly pull straight and blow down your hair, then section off the back of the hair in 2 ponytails and secure them with elastics or clear bands. Spray with finishing spray as you start braiding all the way down (watch the tutorial for Eugene Souleiman’s advice).

Arriva finalmente la primavera estate e con essa anche la voglia di provare qualcosa di nuovo. Per chi ha i capelli lunghi, sperimentare è facile perché ci sono tantissime acconciature da provare per rivoluzionare il proprio stile…almeno per un giorno! Ve ne proponiamo 3 con tutte le istruzioni per realizzarle (+ i video tutorials: scopriteli in sotto la gallery!). Preparate elastici e forcine!

Trecce romantiche. L’ispirazione arriva dalla sfilata di Giorgio Armai, che ha pettinato le sue modelle con un raccolto composo da tre trecce.
Come si fa. Dividete i capelli in 5 ciocche, lasciate libere le due più esterne e componete le altre in tre trecce che partono dall’attaccatura sulla fronte. Una volta finito, unite le trecce alle ciocche rimaste libere e annodatele insieme, poi fissate con le forcine.

Chignon punk. Divertente e super cool, lo ha proposto Marc by Marc Jacobs in passerella e Rita Ora lo ha subito sfoggiato sul red carpet.
Come si fa. Dividete i capelli in tre ciocche e fatene tre code: una davanti, una al centro e una sulla nuca. Prendete ogni coda e avvolgetela su se stessa fino a formare un nodino, poi fissatelo con delle forcine (guarda il video tutorial).

Trecce Hip-hop. È la pettinatura scelta da DKNY per la sua sfilata Primavera Estate, ispirata agli Novanta.
Come si fa. Pettinare i capelli per renderli perfettamente lisci e ordinati, poi dividere le lunghezze in due code e fissarle con gli elastici. Spruzzare la lacca e poi procede a comporre le trecce (guarda il viedeo tutorial con i consigli dell’hairstylist Eugene Souleiman).

Wang Jiao (Via Padova, 3). Just a few steps from Loreto subway station (there are 2 more around the city) this is, according to the true enthusiasts, one of the best restaurants in town. The must-try dishes are the fresh tagliatelle and the lacquered duck!
Dim Sum (Via Nino Bixio, 29). The first thing that will catch your eye is the environment, luxurious and quite not traditional! The real China is found in the bamboo baskets filled with impeccably presented traditional delicatessen.
Ta Hua (Via Fara, 15). This very central restaurant is defined the temple of authentic Chinese cuisine. Their highlight dish? Besides the traditional dumplings, it’s definitely the bakery.
Mandarin 2 (Via Garofalo, 22). Not the usual Chinese restaurant, but a fusion reinterpretation that combines the classics of Asian and Italian. Just a suggestion: always make a reservation!
Mao Hunan (Via Nicola Antonio Porpora, 5). Do you love the strong flavors of Chinese cuisine? This is the restaurant for you. With all the traditional dishes and the chef’s originality, you’ll really feel like being in Beijing. And if we still haven’t convinced you, just know that the clientele of this restaurant is mostly Chinese!
Lon Fon (Via Lazzaretto, 10). Excellent, absolutely excellent. Above the average of other Chinese restaurants as far as quality and courtesy of the staff. Even though the space is relatively small, it’s the food that makes the difference. Crabmeat au gratin and the famous ginger ice-cream are a must try!

In questi giorni in tutto il mondo si sta festeggiando il capodanno cinese (in Cina comunemente chiamato “festa di primavera”) e anche noi della TBS Crew siamo pronti a celebrare con una bella cena tutti insieme. Dove? Ma in uno dei nostri ristoranti cinesi preferiti a Milano, approvati dalla nostra nuova collega cinese Menghan Avete voglia anche voi di dim sum e noodles? Ecco la nostra lista da insider!

Lon Fon (Via Lazzaretto, 10). Ottimo, davvero ottimo. Sopra la media rispetto ai ristoranti cinesi sia per qualità che per cordialità dello staff. Anche se l’ambiente è relativamente piccolo, sono i piatti che faranno la differenza. Da provare la polpa di granchio gratinata e il famoso gelato allo zenzero!

We’ve started keeping a watchful eye when they graced the heads of many celebrities, and now, they’re even on NYFW catwalks. It’s official: the coolest hairstyle of 2016 is double braids, better known as boxer braids.
How to get them? If you are a braids’ newbie, then you better ask for the support of a friend. The most difficult thing is incorporating the different locks while braiding, but with a little practice you’ll soon become experts! Let’s start. Create a strong center parting. Now, apply some texturizing product so that the hair won’t slip away while you work on the braid. Keep braiding downwards creating a “dutch braid”. Arrive at the back of the neck, where you’ll fix a first hair tie. So, continue braiding the hair ending the hairstyle with another tie, letting the braid lay on your shoulders. The magic is done!
Boxer braids were born on the ring but this style works even for evenings out, days at the office and romantic dates. Abbiamo iniziato a tenerle d’occhio quando sono apparse sulla testa di numerose celebrity, ora sono anche in passerella alla NYFW. È ufficiale: l’acconciatura più cool del 2016 sono le trecce doppie, più conosciute come boxer braids.
Come si realizzano? Se siete alle prime armi con le trecce, meglio farsi aiutare da un’amica. La difficoltà più grande è incorporare i vari ciuffi mentre si intreccia, ma con un po’ di pratica diventerete delle esperte in breve tempo! Iniziamo: separate i capelli con una riga al centro che sia ben marcata. A questo punto, applicate qualche prodotto texturizzante perché non vi scivolino le ciocche mentre lavorate sulla treccia. La storia è molto semplice, un uomo e una donna in una Hong Kong degli anni ’60, con un’attrazione reciproca e un rapporto particolare subordinato ai rispettivi matrimoni.
