Dolce & Gabbana have made the "DG" logo an iconic symbol, but have never been able to obtain the corresponding Internet address DG.com. In DG.com effects it is one of the oldest internet domains and in 1986 had already been registered by the computer Data General, now disappeared. DG.com was purchased in June 2010 [35] by the US chain Dollar General stores of various kinds, which uses a different DG logo to sell their products.
