La celebre frase del film diretto da Robert Zemeckis andrebbe modificata così, eh si perché ai cioccolatini oggi si sono sostituiti loro, ma questi non ti capitano, no, questi li scegli, perché prima di gustarli con il palato li mangi con gli occhi.
Piccoli, colorati, bombati, croccanti all’esterno e con un cuore morbido e profumato.
Deliziosi tanto da catturare anche l’estro di diversi stilisti, come Kenzo che nel 2011 si è ispirato a questi per la creazione delle Macaroons Bag  e che dire delle Nike Air Macaron.
Queste piccole e colorate tentazioni sembrerebbero essere comparse all’improvviso, invadendo diversi Social Networks ma in realtà la loro creazione è lontana nella storia.
Benchè la loro origine francese sia la più comunemente riconosciuta, c’è chi sostiene che la preziosa ricetta fu importata su ordine di Caterina de’ Medici da i suoi pasticceri italiani quando, nel lontano 1533, sposò Enrico II di Francia.
E se l’opinione comune non ci dà il merito dell’invenzione nel nome di questi dolcetti va però ravvisato qualcosa di nostrano, il “Maccherone”. Forse per la sua forma tonda.
La versione moderna dei macarons risale al secolo scorso per opera del pasticcere Desfontaines che lavorava per la Pâtisserie Laudrée di Parigi, che oggi, non ha caso, è la principale impresa dolciaria di lusso francese. Una vera e propria boutique  in cui questa piccola meringa è presentata come fosse un oggetto prezioso, in teche di cristallo e cofanetti di velluto, senza dimenticare che le tanto fotografate scatoline che le contengono sono disegnate e firmate da stilisti come John Galliano e Christian Louboutin.
Se la mamma a Forrest Gump diceva che con i cioccolatini “non sai mai quello che ti capita”, nel caso dei macarons fate attenzione, perché da come avrete capito, la certezza è di rimanere con il portafoglio più leggero!
